And I had a big hullabaloo about engine codes, and clutch slipping until I cleared the codes then everything was fine. Well, thankfully, someone out there also had this problem. I had thought that my transmission blew out, because according to the code, it had to do with the thing the measures torque and stuff (i forgot the car part) (also, the thing the measure torque, when sensing too much torque, basically shuts the car off and limits the power to the transmission, basically making you limp. Nothing was wrong with my transmission.).

Well, Mitsubishi just sent me this,.

Also, if you have a 2008-2014 Evo, you should get this fixed out. Also, further proof that my Ralliart is an Evo at heart :D.

So you have a Ralliart? How do you like it? Any regrets on not spending more and getting an Evo? The Ralliart is on my list of next daily drivers.

I bought my Ralliart used. The pricetag was at 20k, but because I had some info that this dealership lost their license to sell fords, and had to shut down, I knew that they only had about a month. I got the car for 15k. No way I could have gotten an Evo. Older generations of Evo, yes, but they were already modded, which I didn't want.

Personally, I have a conflicted relationship with my Ralliart. While I love that it basically is an Evo underneath, I miss the manual (though the flappy paddles are okay). It's a quick car, but not as quick as an evo. However, when you go around town, everyone thinks its an evo.

I like it, because to me, its such a versatile car, from spirited driving to hauling tires or lumber (yes, I carried 2x4s in it), it kinda gets the job done. However, to me, it's boring. I doesn't really have a "wow" factor, that I like. It doesn't try to kill me. I can enter a curve in at 80mph without breaking a sweat, without traction control. It's too easy.

With the tranny, it's not actually mitsubishi. It's german. Its a twin clutch setup, and from what I heard from other ralliart owners on forums, they've had their transmissions die out anywhere between 200-70k miles (yes, that say two hundred). I'm at nearly 54k (from 30k, when I bought it used), and I haven't seen any clutch slippage (except for the time seen above.).

Do I have regrets? Sometimes, yes. I drive around town, and I see the Evo's and wonder what could have been, had I decided to blow my 17 year old money on an Evo with tons of miles. I could have been in a 350z, in a RWD car like I've always wanted. Maybe I could have gotten an S2000. Will I have thoughts of selling it? Sometimes.

However, there's something about this car thats starting to grow on me. Something that says, if my car makes it past college, and dies, I'll rebuild the Ralliart into something amazing.

In short, get an MX-5 (or any other DDer). (Even with the smaller turbo on the Ralliart, 93 octane costs alot. 45 dollars a week. Theres something about the Ralliart that I would never recommend to anyone else, but I like mine).
